SEN
From the very first semester in the college we people feel that the present sem is the most strenuous one and we wish that the next one will be a bit lighter and more enjoyable but year after year our hopes are devastated.
Same phenomenon happened in 5th sem , after dealing with the voluminous courses like OS and CNS we thought or I should say we were hoping that the sixth one will be a little effortless and will give us some time to breath and some scope for improving our forever sinking CPI’s before the whole placement event begins. But we were wrong again, what we didn’t know was that we will come face to face with a project for our software engineering courses; not just a project but the BAAP of all projects. For the uninitiated let me tell you that the project is to be done in a group of 10 along with a Project Manager (one of our seniors) within a period of 4 months.
The entire course structure for SEN is pretty good and is bound to help us when we do similar projects once we enter our respective jobs (this is what my seniors told me), it involves everything team work, documents, coding, testing, designing but the there is just one aspect which I abhor the most and that is the course instructor who is always looking for an opportunity to screw us and not just screw us but screw us hard.
Anyways lets hope that everything passes smoothly and get a good grade, which I think is the ultimate goal of every student like me.

;) lol I affirm to u with these feelings which u carry though I would say that he is not as bad as he looks but yes he acts like hitler in presentation... freaks u out if u dont follow the instructions passed on in lectures. Really he doesnt know anything other than just having proficiency in using well learned vocabulary.I hope he could offer us some vocab sessions for CAT that will definitely help us :)
well, u r rite dude....SEN actually is a course where people spend whole sem working on...and some few, get thru completely uninterrupted, except for the day of the presentation... so u just have to be fortunate enuf to be one of those.... anyways, now that its over, ur worries r over....but make sure u do well in the finals...it actually is one of the easier sems....and nothing else to worry after these exams....7th n 8th sem r just gonna be abt MBA....so be prepared for that....
lol! SEN again! I remember those days... oh man! truly felt as if you're being subjected to unimaginable torture techniques, and that too loads of it! I even posted some really messy posts in my frustration!
Anyway, your seniors are correct in saying that this is the was things happen in the industry! It gives you a feeler, SEN does! A big project but then the documentation makes you feel that way! Fultoo bakar! But then again, the real thing!
Banerjee ain't a bad guy... he just behaves like one of the implacable managers, team leads you're up against in the corporate world!
SEN does ensure sleepless nights, a sleepless semester for that matter, but hey! It's a course where you can get a good grade based on hardwork, presentation skills (read, bakar;)) and even sheer luck!

@myself: I agree that he has got an extremely good vocab but that is just a shield which he uses to protect his other numerous flaws.
@kc: I hope that the next sems r better than the past ones , otherwise in all previousones it has been the opposite , they get tougher and tougher...
@smatalec: finally the sen presentation is over and most part of it went well..
Ur last sem will be the best... No work!! no lectures!!
